Collaborative Learning Areas
Collaborative Learning Areas are designed to facilitate group work. Spaces can be modified to best suit your group’s needs.
Fly Space
Features Roll-About white boards, chairs, and desks.
Learning Pod
Roll-About circular tables and a flat-screen monitor to project laptop screens are available.
Collaborative Workstations
Two six-seat workspaces equipped with a large LCD monitors and devices which allow participants to dock laptops for content.
Procedures:
Fall and Spring
Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: Closed
Semester Breaks
Monday through Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: Closed
- Personal laptops may connect to the flat-screen monitor.
- Two Apple MacBook laptops are available for use.
- Please bring dry erase markers if using a white board.
- Reservations are not required.
Policy:
- Lab guests are prohibited from installing software on computers.
- Computers are available for educational purposes. With this in mind, we reserve the right to ask guests to leave if we feel their usage of the computer is not appropriate. Examples of inappropriate use and/or behavior may include but are not limited to:
- Use of lab equipment to access instant messaging, non-school related e-mail, or social interaction websites (ie. Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc.)
- Use of lab equipment to play games, watch movies, view pictures, or listen to music
- Attempting to perform any illegal or harmful activity, such as hacking, data theft, or destruction of personal property
- Consumption of food (drinks are allowed but must be covered and kept on the floor)
