Training Workshops

IT Training workshops provide the George Mason University community with opportunities to develop computing skills in an instructor-led classroom setting. Courses are designed for beginners to more advanced users who wish to acquire or enhance knowledge of current technologies. Training workshops are also useful to help individuals prepare for the certification exams offered by the Training and Certification office.

Before every fall and spring semester, the Training and Certification office also hosts BYTE week (Build Your Technology/Teaching Expertise).

Instruction is offered in the following areas:

• Adobe
• Microsoft Office
• Corporate Time calendar service
• Blackboard
• Linux
• Switching from PC to Macintosh
• Google Drive
• Other emerging technologies

Procedures:

• View and register for Workshops.
• Complimentary student training materials are no longer handed out to attendees. Course materials and data files are available online, however, attendance to one of the offered workshops is mandatory to access them.
